Varanasi is the most popular pilgrimage point for the Hindus. Varanasi is one of the twelve Jyotir Linga sites in India.

Buddhists worldwide look upon India as the land of the Buddha and a visit to this country means a pilgrimage to those places sacred to the memory of the Enlightened One. Sarnath is 10 km from the holy city of Varanasi, and is an exceedingly tranquil place. The ruins, the museum and temple are all within walking distance. Buddhism rules Sarnath where Buddha preached his first Sermon and which thus became one of the four holiest places to the Buddhist world.

Allahabad lies 125 km west of Varanasi in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and is at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati River, the point of their mingling known as Sangam. Also known by its old name of Prayag, and the world-famous Kumbh Mela.

Kaushambi attracts a lots of Buddhist pilgrims each year, and considered to be the place where Lord Buddha passed his sixth and Ninth year after attaining enlightenment. Thus the place is special, and linked to many sermons that were delivered by Lord Buddha.

Day 1 : Varanasi

On arrival, meet and Greet with representative of KSHITIJ TRAVELS at Varansi Airport/Train Station. After greetings transfer and check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening you will be taken to the Ganga Ghats to watch evening Aarti (Hindu ritual). Overnight stay at hotel in Varanasi

Day 2 : Varanasi

After breakfast in the morning, you will visit a full day temple tour of Varanasi. You will be visiting the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple and Tulsi Manas Temple. After attending the evening aarti at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 : Varanasi

After having breakfast in the morning, we start a sightseeing tour of the city. The tour will include a visit to Benaras Hindu University (BHU), the Archaeological Museum, Bharat Kala Bhavan and Ramnagar Fort. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 : Varanasi - Sarnath - Varanasi

After breakfast in the morning, we drive for a full day tour of the holy city of Sarnath. Sarnath holds the distinction of being the venue of the first sermon by Lord Buddha. We visit various Buddhist stupas and Buddhist temples and the Sarnath temple. By late evening,return to hotel in Varanasi.

Day 5 : Varanasi - Allahabad

In the morning after breakfast, you will proceed to Allahabad (125kms/3 hrs). On arrival, you will check into a hotel. This will be followed by a half-day tour of the city, in which you will visit the Allahabad Fort, Allahabad Museum, Anand Bhawan and the Swaraj Bhawan. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6 : Allahabad - Kaushambi

Morning after breakfast, you will take a full day tour of Kaushambi,is located at a distance of 50 km from modern Allahabad city. Kaushambi was the capital of the ancient Matsya kingdom in 6th century B.C. It was also an important seat of Buddhist learning. Kaushambi is One of the popular Buddhist destinations in India, it offers a large number of architectural relics and ruins. Here, you will visit stupas, Kaushambi Museum, Ashokan Pillar, an old fort and Ghositaram Monastery. By late evening, back to Allahabad & transfer to the ALLAHABAD Railway Station carrying sweet memories for your onward journey.
